Bucket Elevator Chain
Bucket elevator chain is a specialised conveyor chain that sees use across various industries; buckets are installed on a vertically circulating chain. The chain is welded with K attachments and implements smaller rollers, for weight reduction.
Bucket elevator chain is fundamental in several production cycles in many industries. Buckets are wise choice for the transport of heavy raw material, due it its large capacity, making them both economical and reliable to use.
Buckets and the chains they are attached to see varying use across different environments and industries, therefore, specific requirements will need to be established before the manufacturing can commence.
Types of Elevators
Centrifugal Discharge Bucket Elevators
These have buckets mounted at intervals on the chain. It is used to handle bulk material that can be picked by spaced buckets as they pass under the boot sprocket, and then discharged by the centrifugal force once the bucket is over the head sprocket.
Continuous Discharge Bucket Elevators
The elevator has buckets mounted continuously on the chain. Material is directed into the buckets through a loading leg, and then discharged over the face of the previous bucket once over the head sprocket. These are recommended for material that is difficult to pick up or easily broken part.
Cement Mill Bucket Elevators
Style AC buckets are mounted to a single strand of chain. Buckets are either closely spaced and material is directed through the loading leg or widely spaced, in which loading is done with a combination of picking up material from the boot and directly through the loading leg. Material is discharged with centrifugal force once the bucket is over the head sprocket.
Super Capacity Bucket Elevators
This is continuous type of elevator; the buckets are mounted between two strands of chain. This allows the bucket to extend past the chain centre-line, and thus large amount of material can be loaded into the buckets. These are used for heavy or abrasive material as well as easily broken material.
